We offer many different types of care and support for adults of all ages. This includes nursing and care services for older people and people living with dementia. We aim to support each resident individually to continue to do the things they are able to do, for as long as they possibly can and to recognise where we need to give care and support.
Sycamore Care Centre has 100 places, which comprise of;
The Lodge, 41 beds residential care and a dedicated, safe dementia care unit. Which offers, long term or short break residential care depending on the client or family needs.The individual needs of our service users are paramount whilst ensuring that their dignity, independence and privacy are respected and preserved at all times.

The Mews, has 52 beds of which 25 are Intermediate Nursing care beds and 27 are Short Break residential care and Short Break residential dementia beds. It is a purpose built modern and friendly reablement facility to provide intermediate care for medical patients. Who are transferred to The Mews from Sunderland Royal Hospital for convalescent care and reablement before returning home.
The Villa, is a 7 bed bungalow specialising in caring for patients with Acquired Brain Injury. The Villa is a self contained unit, "Where we're sure you'll feel right at home." All rooms are elegantly furnis hed to very high standard.
Meals,
Our menus are designed to provide a healthy, nutritional choice of
meals covering a wide range of dietary needs. Your meals are prepared in our own kitchens by our chefs and cooks, using all fresh produce and ingredients.
Each day you will have a choice of menus to meet your tastes, special diets and preferences are also catered for.Meals can be taken in the dining room or in the privacy of your own room.
Each unit or suite at Sycamore Care Centre has its own wheelchair friendly kitchen for service users to prepare drinks and light refreshments, with or without staff support.
Laundry
A full laundry service is provided. However, this does not include dry cleaning.
Family Support.
We understand that families are often in need of support themselves, our skilled staff are able to recognise this and are on hand to offer their helpful experience.
